What CPNI Generally Means
Under U.S. communications law, CPNI generally concerns information related to the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location and amount of use of a telecommunications service, together with related billing information, when available to a carrier by virtue of the customer relationship.
Information Potentially In Scope
Depending on ARCAMUSA’s legal classification and the service, call-detail, destination, service-configuration, usage and billing information may qualify. This page does not predetermine the legal classification of every record.
Protection Principles
Potential CPNI should be treated as confidential, accessed only for legitimate roles and protected through appropriate customer authentication before disclosure. Disclosure and use must follow applicable law, customer authorization and valid legal process.
Operational Uses
Where permitted, information may support service delivery, billing, repair, security, fraud prevention, customer support and protection of rights and property. Marketing use is limited to what applicable law and operational procedures permit.
Where CPNI rules apply, ARCAMUSA may use CPNI to provision, bill, maintain, protect and support the service from which the information is derived, and for other purposes only with authority supplied by law or a valid customer approval. Marketing use is not inferred from operational access.
Customer Rights
Applicable rights may include limits on certain uses or disclosures. No opt-out method is advertised until ARCAMUSA confirms the applicable rule and can operate the required process.
Applicable CPNI Protections
ARCAMUSA protects information that constitutes CPNI in accordance with applicable law. Applicable customer rights, uses and disclosures are governed by federal communications law and the applicable service relationship. This public notice does not expand or reduce duties established by law.
Contract Hierarchy & Related Documents
This policy applies when information qualifies as Customer Proprietary Network Information under applicable telecommunications law. The broader Privacy Notice continues to govern business-contact, website and diligence information that is not CPNI.
A data processing addendum does not expand permitted CPNI use or bypass customer authentication. If a contract provision conflicts with a non-waivable CPNI safeguard, the safeguard controls; service-specific access permissions remain subject to verified account authority.
